The Office, Billy Mays, and My Mom…
huh???
So, I was seriously excited that The Office’s new season started tonight. The hour long episode was a welcome break from the hours of editing I’ve been putting in at night. After the show, much to my suprise, I found a link to an Office parody in my inbox. I was intrigued, so I clicked on the link, only to find that the parody was filmed in my mom’s office, with Billy Mays – you know that infomercial guy. There is also a guy in the video that I used to work with at Menards (holla, John!) who plays the role of Jim, and I guess my cousin had something to do with the production of the video! CRAZY!!!!
So my mom only has one line and a couple of high fives, but that one line is followed by “That’s what she said.” tehehehe Perfect.

This family….
was FUN! There was so much love, energy, laughter, and fun exchanged during this session. I loved every minute of it!
My availability for the fall season is becoming slim. If you are interested in a session, there are a few week day sessions available. I also have a last minute opening for this Saturday, 9/27. The only other weekend date I have open is Sunday, 10/5. Book now, as spaces are filling up QUICKLY!! Now, onto the images from this fun-filled session….
One of my new favorites…..
Tricky subject…..
was the subject to the first email I received from this mom. She informed me that her youngest was NOT willing to smile for the camera, and wondered if I would be able to help. Well, I think the below images speak for themselves, although I don’t know how much I had to do with those gorgeous smiles. This little Mr. was more than happy, and he honestly made my job easy. His big brother was just about as laid back and sweet as they come. He’s already planning our next photo session.
Some pure silliness….love it. I wish you all could have witnessed the myriad of expressions this big bro had. Seriously priceless. Between his “eyes”, his “picture smile”, and the way he would “pick up chicks”, I was ROLLING!!! Much love to the P family. Thanks for a wonderful morning!!
I am….
giddy!!!!
Check it out. Now! Go!!
Those are all MY photos!!! I did a shoot for Navii this summer, and the website is finally ready! I’m sooo excited for them, because this new website is KILLER! The salon is fantastic – so earthy and modern. Everyone there was so incredibly nice. If you are looking for a place to relax and get pampered – this is the place!
Dear Gant Family,
You rock.
Love,
Me
Last night’s session was seriously the **BEST** way to start off my crazy, busy fall season. I know this family because their youngest was my student when he was in 5th grade and at the same time, I was coaching their youngest daughter in volleyball. Let me tell you, having two Gants in my everyday life was FUN! Whether Tanner was hiding in my classroom closet, trying to miss the bus to the volleyball game, or Drew was telling some crazy hilarious story (or breaking the fishbowl ;P ), they were always creating a bunch of laughter around them. I miss seeing them often, but last night made up for that just a bit. This family is hilarious. This family is fun. This family was a pure joy to photograph. After the session, we sat and laughed and joked – what a perfect night!
Thanks so much for choosing me to capture your family. You guys are fabulous! :)
This shot was Dad’s idea – and it was a great one. I love this photo. Nice work, Tom!
The gorgeous fam.
Now, I don’t have a story from the past about Courtney, the oldest child. I really don’t know her that well, as I’ve never taught or coached her. However, I am SO excited for the new venture she is ready to embark on. She is leaving this week to teach on a Hopi Reservation in Arizona. How freakin’ cool is that? I think she’s going to start a blog, and I for one cannot WAIT to read about her adventures. Good luck, Court! I know you’ll do great!!
And, now…for some Gant fun. This photo CRACKS. ME. UP. Look at Drew’s lip! Perfect!! Isn’t this SO teenagers?!?
Love these boys…..
You may recognize the little man in these first two shots from the top of my blog. He’s the little flirt with the blonde curls that is shown in the revolving photos. To my surprise, he was so grown up, lookin’ like a little man when I arrived for their photo shoot last weekend! I’ve been photographing these brothers for over a year now ( take a journey with them here, here, and, here ) and I just love them to pieces!!! One thing I’ve always noticed is the connection between these two guys. Big Bro Joe started making silly faces, and Beau just LOST it. This kid was laughing so hard I thought he was going to start crying. I have another photo of him with one of those crazy, hysterical laugh faces on – just precious!! It was after that Joey promptly told me he was “done” with photos, and I had to agree. We had a great morning, and he supplied the perfect ending to the shoot. Much love to the K Family – you guys rock!
So CUTE!!!!!
All boy. I was so excited to meet the newest addition to the K Family – pretty little Bella. You all know how I love my boxers, so this was a pure treat!
Hanging out in “Big Daddy’s” awesome car. Love the sun streaming in on this one.
I love how Joey is looking up at Mom & Dad with such a sweet little smile.
Revealing….
