I am literally *bursting* with joy over these photos. My dear friend Kristi recently gave birth to her first child, and I was lucky enough to get to visit them for a morning on Karli’s 17th day of life. Mom and Dad are completely in love with her – how could they not be?? It was so good to get to see my friend again and to capture this precious time in their life. Kristi, Chad – I am SO, SO happy for you three!! Karli is a perfect angel, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to come over and take these photos. I can’t wait to watch her grow up. You two are already phenomenal parents. I love you guys!

was FUN! There was so much love, energy, laughter, and fun exchanged during this session. I loved every minute of it!

My availability for the fall season is becoming slim. If you are interested in a session, there are a few week day sessions available. I also have a last minute opening for this Saturday, 9/27. The only other weekend date I have open is Sunday, 10/5. Book now, as spaces are filling up QUICKLY!! Now, onto the images from this fun-filled session….

You may recognize the little man in these first two shots from the top of my blog. He’s the little flirt with the blonde curls that is shown in the revolving photos. To my surprise, he was so grown up, lookin’ like a little man when I arrived for their photo shoot last weekend! I’ve been photographing these brothers for over a year now ( take a journey with them here, here, and, here ) and I just love them to pieces!!! One thing I’ve always noticed is the connection between these two guys. Big Bro Joe started making silly faces, and Beau just LOST it. This kid was laughing so hard I thought he was going to start crying. I have another photo of him with one of those crazy, hysterical laugh faces on – just precious!! It was after that Joey promptly told me he was “done” with photos, and I had to agree. We had a great morning, and he supplied the perfect ending to the shoot. Much love to the K Family – you guys rock!

So CUTE!!!!!

All boy. I was so excited to meet the newest addition to the K Family – pretty little Bella. You all know how I love my boxers, so this was a pure treat!

I donated my hair to Locks of Love, gave my AH-Mazing hair stylist Kristi the biggest hug (go see her at Hair Sculptors on Evans Ave in Valpo *477-4455* – she is the BEST!!), and gave my husband a quick lesson on how to snap away with my camera, because my self-portrait skills leave MUCH to be desired. I guess it was about time to get a decent photo of myself for my website, and let me tell you – it feels weird on the other side of the camera!!

is the best way to describe my time spent with this family. I was invited up to their family cottage in Union Pier, Michigan. I knew from the beginning I was going to love shooting at this location. Every little detail included generations of memories for this family. I love to incorporate special touches into portraits – something that means so much to the client, but yet may not be obvoius to other viewers. I think every photo we took at the cottage had that extra special touch. There was just so much history and love streaming from this place. I was sad to leave!

“A” family – thank you for being so hospitable. I think we finally nailed down the perfect day. I love your home away from home, and I look forward to seeing you all again!
